So my friend, we will call her my whole 30 friend-I may come back to her often, told me about a blog she read and how it said you should keep a food journal. Not one you write down or log, but a picture food journal. Then you need a friend who is willing to hold you accountable to your food. So you find someone who wants to be your text food journal buddy and you already have step one, finding your buddy. Then you just text pictures of whatever you are going to consume. I haven't started this process with my whole 30 friend, but I did start with a few other ladies. Two days in and so far, so good. I will tell you, I wouldn't want anyone to see what I consumed after my whole 30 journey was over. I knew I needed to take this challenge of finding a journal buddy.

Yes, you can lie and eat something and not text it, but wouldn't you feel rotten? It crossed my mind today as I consumed the rest of my mint chip coconut ice cream and a fiber one bar. My first though, I already told them I ate the ice cream, so it's already on my log, right!?! No, it wouldn't be honest. So I guess step two is make sure you have someone that really, really wants to do this and will be honest with you and themselves.

So who is ready? Who wants this change? I wish I could credit the blogger for this idea. I may ask my whole 30 friend and put the link in the comments. I also need to find a better alias for her. Anyhow, take this idea and run with it. Make the change and enjoy the change. It has been fun so far.

So I will leave you with a quick little workout I saw on Facebook today that you could knock out quickly and then you can say you got a workout in. Here it is:
40 jumping jacks
30 crunches
20 squats
10 push upsJillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-66389622003791650772014-09-08T19:57:00.001-07:002014-09-08T20:21:55.282-07:00The EllipticalSo as many of you know I have been doing the couch 2 5k program. It is 3 days a week for about 30 minutes. If I go to the gym I want a full hour. So my other cardio go to machine is the elliptical. Easy on the joints and it goes by quickly for me. It's because I break it into 10 minute segments. So usually on run days I do 3 segments. Sounds so much better than 30 minutes, right? Plus the 10 minutes are constantly changing what you do so they go by quickly. So I am going to lay it out for you here:

The 10 minute segment:
0-2 warm up. This is an easy pace, if you go more than one segment these two minutes should be done at you're medium speed.
2-3 only pushing. Push the arms of the elliptical, while trying to use just the arms and as little of the feet as possible.
3-4 only pulling. Just like above but pulling the arms of the elliptical. Both of these done at a comfortable speed, but faster than a warm up speed.
4-5 sprint. This should be hard, really push yourself, it's only a minute and next is:
5-6 recover. This should be a similar speed to warm up speed.
6-8 legs only. Take your hands off the arms of the elliptical and go at a medium to hard speed, not as hard as your sprint.
8-10 peddle backwards. The last two minutes you just start the peddles in reverse.

Repeat as long as you want your workout to be, but remember to up the speed on the first two minutes.

Now since I failed to do this earlier, before each meal tomorrow do the 10 squats from before, but this time add 10 jumping jacks. Make a goal for what you will do tomorrow to become a better you and post it here in the comments. Have a great night!JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-24910159971673716712014-09-07T18:42:00.000-07:002014-09-07T18:42:00.546-07:00Get ready! So I just sat down and mapped out how my blog is going to be. So there will be a consistency to what you will see each day. Get pumped and get excited. This all starts tomorrow 😃!!JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-57284853232651728162014-08-20T11:23:00.000-07:002014-08-20T11:23:52.595-07:00I'm back!!So I have been away for a very long time. I moved to Florida, had my forth baby- our one little man, and now we are in Georgia and I am back and ready to inspire. I will post food, workouts and motivation. Today's post is an easy lunch. I always have bagged salad in my fridge and olive oil and balsamic vinegar in my pantry. An easy thing to add is rotisserie chicken from the deli section and I got some 100 calorie wholly guacamole from the store. Easy peasey. Plus you can have leftovers. Always with water, the drink of life. Now go do 10 squats 3 times today.

One of my favorite breakfasts is an omelet with broccoli in it, sprinkled with a tiny bit of salt. So today I made an omelet. Usually I make it with the Costco huge packs of cut up broccoli, but today I used one of those single packs of steamed veggies-the broccoli in cheese sauce. It actually is kind of good. Normally for cheese I use a shredded low fat mozzarella cheese stick. Found these single packs are a good alternative. A great way to start my day! Have you eaten your breakfast today?JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-1983199047167964532012-01-07T14:51:00.001-08:002012-01-07T14:51:25.754-08:00Sorry EveryoneHave kind of slacked these last two days, but I promise I will be back with some great information on Monday.JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-753453101938270422012-01-05T16:43:00.000-08:002012-01-05T16:44:09.300-08:0025 Minutes-Sounds Like A Lot!That is how long into my workout it took me to really want to do it. I post about how much I love the gym and how it is like a second home to me, but there are days I don't want to go too. It takes some encouragement and dedication to always have this want. So today I am going to go over more things to keep yourself on track and not lose your focus, because it can be so easy to become side tracked.

#1: Make a Goal

I know all of this is all about goals, but I am talking a small goal. Today I got to the gym-I knew I wanted to do at least an hour. Again, sometimes there are so many other things on your mind (stresses) and it takes all you have just to get out the door to head to the gym. Today my goal was to burn 600 calories before I started my cool down. I almost started my cool down 5 minutes earlier knowing that I would make it to 600 in my cool down, but I said-no I said 600 and then cool down. It got me through those last 5 minutes. Plus it is never good for me to work-out by the monitor where I can see the play room, because I see my kids and want to go running to them for fear they miss me-ha-ha.

#2: The 10 Minute Rule

What is this 10 minute rule? Promise yourself 10 minutes of exercise. When you really don't want to do it-say, I will do 10 minutes. Chose anything, I don't care what it is. For example - go to the gym and do 10 minutes on the treadmill. I guarantee once you get on you will not want to stop. It will get you started. I would love to hear from you all on a day down the road when you really, really didn't want to go workout. Use my 10 minute rule-then come back to my blog, and let me know how long you lasted-even if it was just 5 minutes. I want to know.

#3: If You Don't Have Time-Break It Up

Did you know that you can do the same thing breaking your workouts into 10 to 15 minute segments to equal an hour? Get up 15 minute earlier and do some jumping rope, jumping jacks, running in place, anything to get your heart rate up. At work on your lunch, take 15 minutes to go on a brisk walk or jog. After work do a short workout video. Take another 15 minute walk after dinner. Oh my gosh, you just did an hour of working out today!

# 4: Make Little Lifestyle Changes

It cracks me up to see people at the gym circling for the parking spot closest to the door. I am sorry-didn't you come to get healthier? Here are some things you can do to help yourself make small changes to a better you. Don't drive around waiting for the closer spot-just park. So you have to take the 20 extra steps to the front door-what did it hurt? Nothing at all! When at all possible choose stairs over elevators and escalators. This will also help. Have stairs at home? When cleaning make more than one trip-not fun, but you will get some good cardio going. These are just a few suggestions of small changes you can make.
Here is another thing I would love to hear. Have you started to make small changes in your life to better health? Please, choose one or two things and start on it right away. Remember 30 days to make a habit!!

Now here is your Fitness Tip. Abdominal exercises, I have yet to go over these. I did them today because I have only done them once this week. One big thing with this exercise that a lot don't know-don't anchor your feet. This causes your hip flexors to work-not your abs. Also, when doing abs-think rotational. Rotational abdominal exercises are so amazing when you want that flat stomach. They are what give you that 6-pack. So I am going to tell you one of my favorites, and I would love for you to add it to your workout-even if you have already done your workout. Just lay on down on your back with your hands down to your sides, and do this one for me. Lift your scapula (shoulder blades) off the floor and then rotate back and forth touching your heels with your same side hand. One repetition is after you have touched both heels. So go lie down and get started.JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-4682999861943181112012-01-04T19:41:00.001-08:002012-01-04T19:41:36.414-08:00I Want to Work-out, But...How do you stay motivated? How do you keep “the want to” in your work-out? Is what you are doing at the gym or at home making you want to go back to it every day? Do you smile while you workout? If you didn't say yes to the last two questions then I would question if you are doing the right thing for your workout. If you don't love what you are doing, you will start to make excuses. Making excuses equals not sticking to your goals.

One of the big things in fitness right now is ZUMBA. Raise your hand if you love Zumba. My hand is not raised. I hate Zumba. My husband has tried to get me to certify to teach it, but why would I do that. I hate Zumba. Please don't see this as me trying to discourage you from classes; I am just trying to get you to see that you need to do what you love. Because I dislike this class, I don't do it. However, it is packed with people that love it. If this is what you love - please do yourself a favor and take the class. You will be more likely to stick to it. If you hate running-don't do it. You most likely won't stick to it. Get the idea.

Here’s a little tip - give everything a go for a few weeks before you completely cut it off. I always hated running. After doing it for a few weeks I realized - hey, it's not so bad. Now, when the weather is right, and I can do a few miles outside, I love running. So give things a try before you write them off.

So please, truly find something you love. If you see me at the gym I am usually the girl who is dancing and smiling as I rock out doing my strength sessions or on my elliptical. Yes, I really dance or tap my foot to the beat. It is another thing that makes working out more fun-MUSIC. Can't go wrong with a good up-beat mix of music that gets your blood pumping and your body going.

Ding, ding, ding- A Fitness Tip. Wednesday - my beloved back and biceps day. Find a low bar somewhere - maybe you have a treadmill in your house or a nearby park. Grab a hold of that bar, palms down, with your back toward the ground, lean back. Now you pull up with your arms-it will be like a reverse push up. Now you can just change the position of your hands to your palms facing up hands closer together and wa-la, you have a bicep exercise. FYI-you can change the intensity by having knees straight for harder-the more bend in your knee the easier the workout. Also, the smaller the body angle to the ground the harder; the larger the angle the easier. Watch the video then go out and get some back and biceps knocked out.JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-76927669262758788512012-01-03T16:15:00.000-08:002012-01-03T16:15:36.485-08:00One Last Post for the DayBiggest Loser

Yes, one of my all time favorite shows. I have watched every season and not missed a show. I actually got to meet, two seasons ago, Deni Hill this last week. I wanted to ask: #1-do you watch the show, #2-if you do, what do you do when watching it? I use to pull my step out and do steps while watching. I may do my treadmill tonight while watching. I could say-go and do something each commercial, but I know we all fast forward through those. As long as your not sitting eating junk-watch on my friend. Let it inspire change.JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-13189299945337807942012-01-03T11:38:00.000-08:002012-01-03T11:38:06.544-08:00And As a Side NoteDon't do this to yourself:

It is good to have some alone time to pray, think, meditate. I have been doing some videos and at the end of the video you go to child's pose and release all that tension in your body. Also, he has you stay there and think about your final goal. What do you want it to be; what does it look like? This has helped me so much I have started doing it after my workouts at the gym. My mom said, "At the gym, with everyone around?" Yes, at the gym, too. It is just child's pose-haha. It releases all the tension and it helps you see what you want in turn making it easier to go every day and get back out there. That is what we want right-to keep those New Years resolutions. I want to be here to support you and make sure you keep up with them.

When doing this mediation you can think about what you want to look like at the end, but that doesn't necessarily have to be what you are picturing in your head. You can also picture yourself running around with your kids or grand kids-that can be your final goal. Something realistic. One thing I have learned from fitness is that it is best not to put up pictures you find out of a magazine to motivate you. Most likely that person doesn't have the same body type as you so it is an unrealistic goal. If it is a picture, you want pick a picture of you when you feel good at where you were. Not a high school picture-again that is unrealistic. I have learned with me-I can't use the picture when I was 250 lbs, that sends me into a negative fitness pattern. So pick something to motivate you in a positive way.

Okay now for A Fitness Tip. Today was cardio day for me. I like to use the elliptical. It is boring to just get on a machine and go. There is a choice on the elliptical-it is a button that says personal trainer. If you press it until it says x-train aerobic it takes you into a workout that switches things up in 10 minute segments. You are doing something different every 1-2 minutes. So when I get on, if I do an hour I say-I only have 6 segments to do. Then it isn't overwhelming, and it isn't boring because it is being changed up, not just getting on and going. Great cardio workout. So there is another little gem of info to put in your back pocket-go out there and get some cardio on today. Even if it is just taking a walk!!

Tomorrow we will talk about how to keep that want to workout.JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-92062675183389127742012-01-02T09:37:00.000-08:002012-01-02T09:37:31.704-08:00New Years Resolutions Out In Full ForceSo ventured out to the gym today at the 9 o'clock hour. This is usually the busiest time. Today even worse than ever. Driving to the gym and going to the gym you could see that people had made their goals that they were going to do it this year. They are going to be more fit and this is the year they will do it. I came home and told my husband that the gym was so packed today. He said give it a few weeks. I told him-I hope this isn't the case. I hope every year that this goal stays with people and they continue their journey into fitness. Yay for them who have made this decision. It is one of the greatest decisions you can make.

Two things were funny to me on my trip to the gym. #1 is the cardio equiptment is packed full. They weights-the majority of the gym-completely empty. People you have not heard my speech about strength training. #2 is that #1 causes "regular" attendees of the gym to become frustrated. They come to get on "their" treadmill. See the post about spinning and you will know what I am talking about. Beware of gym regulars and again if you are getting and evil stare-ignore it, you were there first.

Okay now my preaching about strength training. Monday is my chest and triceps day. So I want to give you an exercise to do. If you don't have a gym membership or equipment at home you can do this!! No excuses. You want to know what this magical exercise is that works both chest and triceps. Ta Da-push ups. Yes that is right a simple push up. Now there are also variations to the push up. You can do a modified push up-on your knees-don't ever call this a girl push up or I will track you down. There is the incline push up to make things a little easier. Decline push up to make things harder. Diamond push up-uses more of your triceps. You can look up push up in Google and there are so many variations. My goal for you is to try some push ups today.

Get started with a few jumping jacks, run in place, high knees running in place, get your body warmed up and knock some of these babies out. A good investment for push ups is push up bars. This exercise can tweak your wrist. A push up bar gets your wrist in a better position for this exercise. Have dumbbells that will stay in place? Those also work as push up bars.
Keep up the good work. However, despite the title I am here to get you to consider weight training. Just as there are benefits to a good cardio routine there are some great benefits to strength training.

I am going to talk about one big one today. Raise your hand if you thought getting more calcium was the best way to increase your bone density. You know this because as women it is talked about all the time. Did you know strength training can decrease your risk of osteoporosis too?

There is something called Wolff's Law that basically states bone will be laid down where needed, bone adapts according to the applied stress. As your tendons pull on that bone when strength training it stimulates bone cells to stimulate bone formation. After all, the more bone mass you accumulate before menopause the less severe the consequences of loss of bone mass will be. This stated from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

So if you are afraid of getting bigger and you are a woman, don't worry it won't happen. Strength training does so many good things for your body. Don't steer away from it. If you have any questions feel free to leave a message. I am passionate about a good strength train program and I believe all should have one.JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-44350192964855065242011-11-26T11:21:00.000-08:002011-11-26T11:22:44.687-08:00I didn't come to win a beauty contest

So lately I have been selling classes at a gym. So I get to do a lot of people watching. It is so interesting to stand there and see what comes through that door. You can tell the people that are there to really workout and the ones who are there just for the-I don't know-single scene!?! Is this one of the pick up joints that I just never picked up on? It is funny to see girls come in all made up. Hair in some kind of up-do. Even if the hair isn't in a fancy up-do it is strategically messy. Then their make-up is on. Really did you come to workout, or did you come for the beauty competition.

I love to work out. The gym becomes a second home to me. I love to see how hard I can sweat. How much I can push myself. If you see me at the gym, you know I am not involved in the beauty contest. I am not there to talk on my cell phone while I leisurely walk on the treadmill. I can do that anywhere. So why do you go to the gym. Are you there for the beauty contest, the social hour, or are you there to rock it!?! Love the gym-always good times to be had.JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-83838336819867818332011-02-02T12:16:00.000-08:002011-02-02T12:16:05.956-08:00New Spinners BewareI have been going to spin here for a while now. I know it is referred to as group cycle now, but I still call it spin.

So if you have never been to spin before and you decide to try it and you are spinning away and feeling angry stares at the back of your neck you probably are not wrong in feeling this. It means you took somebody's bike. Yes even though there is no seating or name tags-you made the awful sin of sitting in someones spin bike-how dare you.

Now I do love sitting in the same area, but I have never had a set bike that I long for. There are ones that I know that have little kinks that I stay away from, but again never a set bike. Hey that way I am never let down if it is taken.

There are two regulars in my class. They are both older. There are 5 of a different kind of bike in the room. The older people love these bike for some reason-I don't know why, I have never tried one. One guy gets there almost an hour early at times to get his bike. The other lady has started to come a little earlier, but Monday she has a friend save it for her. Her friend doesn't come on Wednesday. So a lady was in her bike today. She sat right next to her. The lady in "her" bike isn't always able to keep up and stops quite a bit, not a problem-it is your workout you put in what you want to get out of it. Well the regular who's bike it is-every time she stops the regular gives her a stare like-you are using MY bike and you can't even keep up.

Little funny and some drama and pretty funny to watch. She even said-oh somebody took MY bike. So if you are new to spin and you take "someones" bike-don't worry-it was never theirs to begin with. Relax have fun and spin away smiling. You got there first!JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-77095322727799224742011-01-26T12:10:00.000-08:002011-01-26T12:10:57.456-08:00January 26, 2011So it is much better if I don't leave this off until the night because then I actually blog. So I wanted to get some before pics up, because a friend saw the other picture and said-you need a new picture because that isn't at all how you look. I just wanted to post my picture at my heaviest weight-I have never been back there since that point even after 2 other pregnancies, I never got to that point. I need to take better pictures, but these will have to do for now. I just took them so they are very up to date.

So there you have it. Here is my starting, which really isn't true because of the weight already lost since I started this. So far I am down 9 lbs. So enjoy and hopefully we will be seeing more change soon.

On a different note, I am looking for personal training opportunities. I just tried to talk myself up to Xcel Fitness so we will see what happens there. Wish me luck!JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-48083640655974411872011-01-24T13:48:00.000-08:002011-01-24T13:48:23.658-08:00January 24, 2011Okay, so I have skipped a few post. I got very sick this weekend and lost 6 lbs. I like losing weight, but not this way. This meant the last 3 days off at the gym too-well Sundays are my normal day off so I guess just two days. So hopefully things will be able to get back to normal this week. I am feeling a little better today, but not 100%. My husband has been trying to get me to stay home from school tonight, which is probablly a good idea, but I am going to go and see how long I will last. I need to be there. First I can't miss exercise psychology and second we are going over some good stuff in exercise design.

So between diffusing the war between my oldest and trying to keep my house in shape with studying and school, sickness didn't help this. Wish me luck for tonight and hopefully being able to work out tomorrow.JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-14653485178320444622011-01-20T22:29:00.000-08:002011-01-20T22:29:41.483-08:00January 21, 2011So again really late. Today wasn't the greatest. I did get to the gym to do my strength training, which took me a little longer so again cardio not done, but my group exercise instructor laid it into us tonight with a boot camp type thing. It made me think, maybe I want to change up my cardio portion of the final.

I wanted to get a picture up here. So I will do a quick story. When my first little girl was 3 weeks old she was hospitalized. We were there for 9 weeks and then more here and there. While in there I was laying around watching my baby and people had to twist my arm to leave the hospital for 2 hours to go to dinner and get my mind off things. Also people would bring me junk to eat. So there were some very honest people who would tell me-you are gaining a lot of weight you need to be careful. I wanted to punch them. So what I am posting is the picture my husband took the day we got out after the 9 weeks. I saw it and said-I look like that. Why didn't you tell me!?! I was almost angry at him. It was then I started working out like mad and watching what I ate. I haven't really showed many people, but it was me and that was my life then. I will never go back.

JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-65870278485086819932011-01-19T22:54:00.000-08:002011-01-20T22:19:49.366-08:00January 19, 2011It is late so this will be quick. I did well with my eating and I got up and worked out. I got to go to the gym today, thankfully because I LOVE my cycle class. Tomorrow I go and do shoulders and arms.

Tonight at school we had a meeting about our externships. So I am excited to start mine and hope that I can learn as much as possible. I haven't felt comfortable, but I am starting to feel better. I always tell the people in my class-I think we know more than we feel we do. I only got a 90% on my exercise physiology test. I just don't know how I can study any harder for those. Anyhow I am excited I am almost done.

Well it is almost the 20th because it is so late and I have an early gym time on strength days. So do your best and get out there and do something good for you tomorrow!!JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-84545744763957450752011-01-18T21:05:00.000-08:002011-01-18T21:05:21.628-08:00Competitive Advantage StatementHi my name is Jill. Which left me to: 1-oh no, why does she have a fever and 2-no gym today. So I made sure to call the gym at 8am (when the play room opens) and let them know my girls would not be in attendance today. Then I had to pull myself out of bed to do my strength training at home-which is never much fun with little ones running around. However, I did it and got it done. My oldest even did a few things with me, using her 3 lb weights. Hearing here and there, "mommy, I'm tired." Love that girl.

So the down side to all of this is I usually have enough time to get some cardio in. Well at home that isn't happening. The positive side is we were required to make a 10 minute cardio routine for my group exercise class. After a while and a pouring out of sweat and putting my middle one down for a nap, that got done.

My eating has been completely on track and I am planning a good dinner for us tonight. A lazy dinner, but a dinner non the less. It is spaghetti with whole grain pasta.

The 4am wake up time hasn't hit me yet, but I am sure it will when we are sitting around class. Hopefully we will be doing a tour for business and just doing our workouts for group. We shall see.

Also-not that many read this, but have any of you heard of stroller strides. It is a franchise that you can do and they don't have one in Utah. Since I want my focus to be on overweight people specializing in mothers who are preggo or post pardum I am wondering if I should save up and get into it. We shall see as my career progresses.JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-17995932346210077502011-01-17T14:40:00.000-08:002011-01-17T14:40:11.299-08:00Not new, but starting overHi, my name is Jill and I am here on my weight loss journey. Two years ago at this time I made a commitment to the gym and to my food intake that I would be diligent and lose my weight and I did. I was able to compete in a triathlon 1 1/2 years ago. I also decided I loved working out so much and was at the gym so often that I felt they should pay me to be there.

I found out I was pregnant a year ago. Very excited and swearing up and down I would work out and keep my weight at a minimal increase. Well of course that never happens-it didn't with the last two. Also, when I was about 6 months pregnant I decided that would be a good time to start going to school to become a personal trainer. You would think this would have helped me keep the weight down. In my defense I did gain 15 lbs less than I did with my other two, so I guess it did help a little.

So here I am-today is my starting date. I am logging my food on myfitnesspal.com and working out. Today I got in my group cycle class and loved it and worked myself as hard as I could. Yesterday I made some strawberry bread and have had trouble staying away from it. So here I am holding myself accountable. I have about 50 lbs I want to lose. I will get some before pics up here. Please feel free to follow me. I am excited to get back to where I was!!!JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-67332511749383498692010-06-25T21:57:00.000-07:002010-06-25T22:05:48.492-07:00WowSo I guess it has been a while since I have done anything with this sight. I guess being preggo does that to you. I haven't however given up on my workouts.

Right before I found out I was pregnant we ordered the Insanity DVD's. They were at our house in a matter of days. So I started pretty quickly. I did it for 2 months. At this point I started tightening in my uterus so I stopped and was doing Turbo Jam.

So today I did Turbo Jam-cardio party this morning with my friend Lillian. Then tonight I did a two mile walk. I love working out. It is fun.

Next week I am going back to school. Scared and yes I am crazy. Seven months pregnant and starting school. I am doing a personal fitness training program-which is a degree program. When you are done with the program (10 months) you have a 90 hour externship with a gym. When you are done with that the school flies you out to Vegas, puts you up in a room and you do a week long boot camp. At the end of the camp you take your final tests for your certificates. I am excited to do this. It is something last summer that I have wanted to do. Get paid to workout, be able to have a free gym membership!! All this and helping people get their lives in shape. I am excited and I am excited to be healthy when this baby comes!!!JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4952691244751555332.post-22441283466558947242009-12-07T10:28:00.000-08:002009-12-07T10:34:55.359-08:00X'd it!!So about a week and a half ago I told my friend-I want to start doing P90X. She said-okay I am up for it. This excited me. So we are now in our second week. We did chest and back today. Last week we did everything-however I had a lot going on. So we did a 30 min turbo jam workout. On Thursday we made up with Plyometrics. Which means we skipped yoga last week. Hopefully we can get it in this week. I have never even attempted the P90X yoga. Honestly-it scares me. Tomorrow we are doing plyometrics and so this will leave Thursday open for yoga-ahhhh!! Wish us luck-haha.

Here is what is frustrating me. I cannot complain because I have not been following any kind of diet, but I have been eating better. I have not lost a single pound and it is driving me up the wall!! We will see what this next week brings.

Betty Crocker is putting out a cookbook. It is a bunch of recipes that are 300 calories. I am going to look into it, but it doesn't come out until January. So we shall see. I want to see if it has some great ideas of things I can make and just have ready for lunch every day. We shall see!!!JillandMauriciohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03976033927648224978noreply@blogger.com1
